Drupal Webform Module Tutorial






Step 1 : Download the Module from this link http://drupal.org/project/webform
Step 2 : If your are using Drupal 7 make sure you download module for Drupal7
Step 3 : Click on Modules on Admin Menu
Step 4 : You will find a link on top 'Install new module' click on it
Step 5 : You will see two input fields click on 'Upload a module or theme archive to install' select the path to downloaded module in your computer.
Note : It should be in archived format dont unarchive it after downloading.
Optional : If this does not upload; you can also place the theme folder under your Drupal Site Directory Structure sites/all/modules Place your folder there(non-archived).
Step 6 : Now when you click on 'Modules' you would see your new module would be listed.
Step 7 : Select the check-box and 'Enable the module' by clicking on Save configuration.
Step 8 :Now click on 'Add content'.
Step 9 : Now click on Webform link.
Step 10 : You can give it title and body
Step 11 : Scroll down the page and give it a Menu Link by selecting the check-box 'Menu settings'
Step 12 : Select 'URL path settings' and give it a URL Path.
Step 13 : Save the Page.
Step 14 : You will land at the webform tab of same page. Note : If you dont see webform page you can click on 'Find Content' on Admin Menu Select the Webform you just created and click on webform Tab from view,edit,webform,results.
Step 15 : Under Web Form You would see Form components. Add new components.
Under Webform / Form Components
Step 16.1 : For example under Label column 'Full Name' and can select text-field from drop-down under Type column. Click add and Save component.
Step 16.2 : In the same manner you can add 1 more component like as in 'Email' under Label column and can select E-mail (selecting E-mail will perform proper email validation)from drop-down under Type column. Click add and Save component.
Step 16.3: Will add 1 more component comments under Label column 'Comments' and can select text-area from drop-down under Type column . Click add and Save component.
Step 18 : Under Webform / E-mails place your email-that will in text-field and click on Add Button(this email will receive all form inputs).
Step 19 : After Saving click on your newly created Webform Menu Item.
